Corrections policy
Last updated: {{LAST_UPDATED_DATE}}
We aim to be accurate. When we get something wrong, we want to fix it promptly and transparently.
How to report an error
Email {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} with the subject line “Correction request”. Please include:
- The URL of the article.
- The specific text or claim you believe is incorrect.
- Why you believe it is incorrect.
- Any sources that support the correction, where possible.
How we handle requests
- We acknowledge correction requests, usually within a few working days.
- An editor reviews the claim, checks sources and consults the original writer where needed.
- If a correction is warranted, we update the article and add a brief note explaining the change near the top or bottom of the page.
- For significant factual changes, we update the “Updated” date.
- Minor typographical changes are not always flagged.

Removal requests
We do not unpublish articles to hide editorial mistakes. We correct them. We will consider removal only in narrow circumstances such as legal obligations or serious privacy concerns.
